Padare Radio begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting Zimbabwe, prides in itself as the premier Internet based Zimbabwean Radio Station. As its name suggests, “dare” meaning men’s court in Vernacular Zimababean Shona language, Padare seeks to demystify the traditional notion that it’s a men’s world by offering unparalled gender balance and showing that women as men have a fairly equal role to play in society. Launched on 18 April 2008 by Taddeus “UncleTadd” Chidziva, it provides information and entertainment to hundreds of listeners, hence our tag line, “Takatandara Zvedu.” We also seek to promote young and upcoming Zimbabwean music talent. Padare Radio is unique in many ways. It’s the first Internet based radio station to launch the Jukebox, a feature which enables the listener to actively participate in the music they hear, through choosing the tittles they prefer electronically, and the titles will be queued to play next on radio. It prides in itself as being apolitical and independent of any outside influence. It does not seek to set the news agenda but rather entertain through music, inform through news and educate through various panelist programs available. As well as providing live interviews with artists and giving them access to have one to one conversations with their fans, it also seeks to help new artists find their feet by offering essential services like website development and merchandising free of charge. Padare Radio seeks to be the leader in the Internet entertainment spectrum through aggressive marketing and quality programs offering the listeners a widen choice of interactive and mind teasing programs in order to retain high listenership figures. Padare Radio is led by a team of 4 dedicated personnel, who are committed to the fufilment of the our hopes and aspirations. Above all, sit back and relax, enjoy the music, takatandara zvedu.
